Senior Accountant | Miami, FL
We are partnering with a growing company that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team in Miami. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, inventory accounting, and supporting operational decision-making across multiple business channels. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with high visibility to leadership, including the Director of Finance and CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS
- Manage and reconcile the general ledger, including inventory, COGS, AP, AR, and operational accounts
- Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring proper valuation and reconciliation across business channels
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform cost accounting and margin analysis, including freight, distribution, and warehousing costs
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Assist with tax compliance, including sales tax and other applicable filings
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting workflows and operational efficiency
- Partner with sales, logistics, and procurement teams to align financial processes across departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally within retail, wholesale, or logistics environments
- Strong understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, inventory, and cost accounting
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
