Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical QA/QC Inspector to support the construction of semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical construction background, having progressed through the trade as a Journeyman Electrician, Lead Electrician, Foreman, or General Foreman, with extensive knowledge of electrical installation standards, NEC requirements, and quality control processes.

The successful candidate will ensure electrical installations meet project specifications, industry codes, and quality expectations while supporting successful testing, commissioning, and facility startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections of electrical installations throughout all phases of construction.
• Verify compliance with:
• National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Construction drawings and specifications
• Contract requirements
• Manufacturer installation requirements
• Project quality standards
• Inspect electrical systems including:
• Underground electrical systems
• Conduit and raceway installations
• Cable tray systems
• Medium- and low-voltage power distribution
• Electrical equipment installation and terminations
• Grounding and bonding systems
• Lighting and control systems
• Instrumentation and control wiring
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field revisions.
• Perform First Work Inspections (FWIs) and verify workmanship standards.
• Create inspection reports, punch lists, deficiency logs, and corrective action documentation.
• Coordinate with field teams, project management, engineering, and commissioning personnel to resolve quality issues.
• Verify completion of corrective actions before system turnover.
• Support walkdowns, commissioning activities, energization, and final project acceptance.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and turnover packages.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of electrical construction experience on industrial, commercial, mission-critical, or semiconductor projects.
• Career progression through the electrical trade as:
• Journeyman Electrician
• Lead Electrician
• Foreman
• General Foreman
• Minimum 2 years of electrical QA/QC experience.
• Previous experience supporting semiconductor fabrication, industrial, or high-tech facility construction projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Electrical installation practices
• Quality inspection procedures
• Electrical testing requirements
• Manufacturer installation specifications
• Ability to interpret:
• Electrical construction drawings
• One-line diagrams
• Control schematics
• Equipment layouts
• Installation specifications
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning, and turnover requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic quality management systems.
