Role Overview
A growing food manufacturing facility is seeking a Maintenance Manager with strong food/dairy experience and demonstrated leadership. This leader will improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs, oversee equipment reliability, and guide a team through consistent, safety-focused execution. The ideal candidate is committed, steady, and searching for a long-term fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance department, including supervisors, planners, and technicians.
- Strengthen and elevate the PM program; drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure equipment reliability across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and utility systems.
- Collaborate with production and plant leadership on operational priorities.
- Enforce safety, GMP, and compliance standards.
- Maintain maintenance reporting, documentation, and system accuracy.
- Respond to urgent plant needs as part of 24/7 on-call responsibility.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years in maintenance, mechanical engineering, or similar manufacturing environment.
- 1 year of management experience preferred.
- Food or dairy manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Successful history improving PM programs.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Experience enforcing and following plant safety policies.
- High School Diploma required, technical licenses or certifications a plus.
