A well established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support high volume recruiting efforts for DOT regulated commercial drivers and operational staff throughout the Sacramento area.
This role is heavily focused on sourcing and hiring Class A & B CDL professionals while also supporting recruiting efforts for operations, administrative, and field-based positions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience recruiting within transportation, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or other operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full cycle recruiting efforts for DOT regulated Class A & B CDL drivers and operational positions
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing priorities and workforce needs
- Develop recruiting strategies to attract qualified driver and operations talent
- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, recruiting events, and outreach efforts
- Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and hiring coordination
- Manage pre-employment and onboarding processes including DOT related compliance requirements
- Maintain recruiting pipelines and ATS records
- Track recruiting activity, hiring metrics, and staffing progress
- Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities
- Support hiring initiatives across multiple departments as business needs evolve
Qualifications
- 5 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience
- Prior experience recruiting CDL drivers or DOT regulated employees strongly preferred
- Knowledge of DOT hiring requirements and driver qualification processes
- Experience using ATS systems and recruiting platforms
- Experience with Tenstreet or similar driver recruiting platforms is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational and follow through abilities
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional travel to recruiting events, job fairs, and operational sites as needed
- Occasional weekend recruiting support based on hiring demands

Pay Transparency Notice
The compensation range for this position is $80,000 β $95,000 annually. Actual compensation offered may vary based on experience, qualifications, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and business needs.
