IT Operations Manager

About the Opportunity
Talent Group is partnering with a highly respected financial services organization seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and core business systems.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology services while supporting strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, operational leadership, and experience managing technology within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Operations
- Lead the day-to-day management of enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, and critical business systems
- Ensure system reliability, performance, availability, and security
- Oversee maintenance, upgrades, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Drive automation and process improvements that increase efficiency and service quality
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT team members
- Establish priorities, performance expectations, and operational goals
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture across the technology organization
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Partner with Information Security, Risk, and Audit teams to support governance and compliance initiatives
- Maintain technology policies, procedures, and documentation in an audit-ready environment
- Oversee operational controls including identity management, vulnerability management, backups, monitoring, and endpoint protection
Vendor & Project Management
- Manage technology vendors, MSPs, software providers, contracts, renewals, and service level agreements
- Lead technology implementations, migrations, and infrastructure projects
- Ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives while minimizing disruption to business operations
Strategic Planning & Budget Management
- Manage annual IT operating budgets
- Support technology roadmaps and infrastructure planning initiatives
- Align technology operations with organizational objectives and future growth strategies
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 10 years of progressive IT experience
- 5 years of leadership experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Network Administration, or Security Engineering
- Experience managing enterprise technology environments and technical teams
- Strong vendor management and project leadership experience
Preferred
- Experience within financial services, banking, lending, insurance, or other regulated industries
- Experience with:
- Cloud platforms
- Windows Server and Active Directory
- Enterprise networking
- Salesforce and/or nCino
- Core banking or financial systems platforms
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and technical controls
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $147,000 - $175,000 annually
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity of up to 10% of annual earnings, based on company and individual performance.
