A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations while serving as a strategic financial partner to ownership. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys both day-to-day accounting and high-level business strategy

What You Will Own

• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Oversee manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory costing, and profitability analysis
• Supervise accounting operations and manage the Accounting/HR Coordinator
• Administer employee benefits and the company's 401(k) plan
• Serve as liaison with insurance brokers and benefit providers
• Oversee purchasing of raw materials and operational supplies
• Partner directly with ownership on financial strategy, capital planning, investment decisions, and cash reserve management
• Analyze business performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and growth

What Makes This Role Unique: Success requires balancing approximately 60% hands-on accounting leadership with 40% strategic finance and business partnership.

What We're Looking For

• 7 years of accounting and finance experience
• Controller or similar accounting leadership experience
• Strong manufacturing and cost accounting background
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial analysis, reporting, and ERP data extraction
• Proven ability to partner with ownership and influence business decisions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred
