Job Description*
We are hiring a Controller for a well-established, member-focused Credit Union. This is a full-time, onsite leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations, accounting processes, and reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure regulatory compliance (banking/credit union standards)
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership
- Implement and maintain internal controls
- Supervise and mentor accounting team
- Coordinate with external auditors and stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in:
- Financial reporting
- General ledger management
- Account reconciliation
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance (banking / financial institutions)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Prior experience in Credit Union / Banking industry (HIGHLY PREFERRED)

- Proven experience in:
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Financial analysis to support strategic decisions
- Solid knowledge of:
- Regulatory compliance (banking / financial environment)
- Internal controls & audit processes
- Hands-on experience with:
- Accounting software / ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (reporting, analysis)
- Demonstrated leadership:
