Talent Consultants is looking for a dedicated and skilled Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures. In this role, you will work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and the healthcare team to support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient management.Key Responsibilities:Conduct preoperative evaluations and assessments of cardiothoracic patients, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.Assist in the operating room during cardiothoracic surgeries, providing hands-on support to the surgical team.Monitor patients during the postoperative recovery process, managing complications and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.Perform follow-up visits and outpatient care for cardiothoracic patients, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any ongoing health issues.Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans and management strategies.Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery processes, and lifestyle changes post-surgery.Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.RequirementsQualifications:Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.Current national certification and valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or a related surgical specialty preferred.Strong clinical skills with proficiency in conducting physical exams and diagnostic procedures.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
