Position Summary
The General Dentist will provide a full range of general dentistry services, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, restorative procedures, and patient education. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, patient-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional care in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral health conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide preventive dental services, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures
- Conduct root canals, extractions, and other general dental procedures within scope of practice
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and clinical support staff
- Refer patients to specialists when appropriate
- Support a positive patient experience through compassionate and professional care
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
- Active California Dental License in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- DEA registration (if applicable)
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in general dentistry
- Experience using digital radiography and dental practice management software
- Knowledge of cosmetic and advanced restorative procedures
- Experience working in community health, outpatient, or multi-site clinic settings
- Strong patient-centered approach to care
