About the Role
Under supervision, the Contracts Specialist is responsible for the direction, development, and implementation of all contracts aligned with organizational needs. This role also manages, oversees, and monitors contractual relationships and compliance with contracted community providers, as well as support and administrative vendors.

Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison to oversee all contracted service agreements and collaborate with contracted providers and service entities (administrative and support).
- Partner closely with the Medical Director to recruit qualified specialist physicians for the provider network.
- Coordinate contracting terms, negotiations, and activities between the organization and contractors.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with credentialing standards and identify any concerns related to professional conduct or performance.
- Prepare all contractor agreements (provider and administrative/support) for final approval and execution by leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support contractual operations and organizational goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred
- Licensure/Certifications: Valid driver’s license required
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare contracting within a managed care environment
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical contracting, including reimbursement methodologies, compliance requirements, and contract structures
- Experience with Medi-Cal, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial contracting models
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical capabilities, including basic financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and database/tracking systems
- Onsite and field-based (contractor sites and administrative offices)
