We are actively seeking a part-time General Assembler (25-30 hours per week) to join our team at the State College office. As a fast-growing international high-tech company, we specialize in providing high-performance non-destructive testing solutions for the inspection of critical components.
Your Daily Life:
While the daily duties and responsibilities of a General Assembler may vary depending on the manufacturing field, they typically include interpreting assembly instructions and operating various tools. The ideal candidate should be a team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues from different departments.
In This Role, You Will:
- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering drawings and technical terms
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
- Follow company procedures and directives
- Test finished products for defects
- General labor duties as assigned
- Maintain the tools used to create products
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have a high level of detail
- Manual dexterity while handling small, intricate parts and using hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Quality awareness and adherence to high standard of quality in all work
- Safety awareness
- Ability to measure with accuracy
- Understanding of assembly process and ability to follow all processes and procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Candidate interested in working 25 to 30 hours per week.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- One (1) year experience with detail oriented work using hand tools
- Mechanical and technical skills
- Safety management mindset
- Focus on quality control
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often small
