We are seeking a dependable and motivated Drill Rig Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components used in the production of drill rigs and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with hand and power tools, reading blueprints and assembly drawings, and following quality and safety standards in a fast-paced shop environment. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role. Prior experience with heavy equipment, manufacturing, welding, hydraulics, or industrial assembly is preferred but not always required depending on experience level.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):

  • Know and follow all applicable policies and procedures
  • Report all HSE incidents, accidents, near misses and potential problems in a timely manner
  • Will be expected to help train fellow employees, sharing knowledge will help the department and Reichdrill to grow.
  • Engage with fellow employees to drive Continuous Improvement
  • Aim to have positive attitude and work together in a courteous and cordial manner. They should strive to help create an honest, trustworthy, and friendly work environment.
  • Help optimize equipment availability and improve plant cleanliness and organization by working with maintenance, fellow employees, and leaders to improve overall productivity.
  • Support other departments with improvement projects and plant driven goals.

Job Specific Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to assemble drilling rig components and systems.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move, position, and install components during the assembly process.
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble, install, and secure rig components.
  • Prepare trucks for PTO (Power TakeOff) rig installations.
  • Fabricate and assemble hydraulic hoses according to schematics and work instructions.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of rig functions, systems, and operational requirements.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during rig assembly and testing.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department to identify and correct drawing, print, or schematic discrepancies discovered during assembly.
  • Participate in final testing and inspection of completed rigs to verify performance, quality, and functionality.
  • Perform quality control inspections on assembled components, hydraulic hoses, and completed rig systems.
  • Assist in gathering and preparing rig components for painting and finishing processes.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed, including picking components, staging materials, and crating parts for shipment.
  • Maintain assembly equipment and coordinate with Maintenance and Document Control to develop and update preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of assembly consumables and notify Team Leads when replenishment is required in accordance with purchasing procedures.
  • Complete all required production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide and maintain a personal set of tools necessary to perform assigned job duties.
  • Safely operate and move company vehicles and trucks as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
