Litigation Paralegal

Overview

A leading full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling sophisticated and complex litigation matters. This role will provide comprehensive case support from inception through trial, post-trial proceedings, and appeal.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of complex litigation paralegal experience, significant hands-on trial experience, and strong proficiency with eDiscovery and litigation technology.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of complex litigation, including discovery, trial, post-trial, and appeal.
• Organize and maintain electronic and hard-copy case files, exhibits, and litigation materials.
• Manage large-scale document reviews, discovery projects, and productions.
• Utilize eDiscovery platforms and electronic databases to support case development and analysis.
• Review and summarize documents, deposition transcripts, and other case materials.
• Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Draft pleadings, motions, notices, and other court documents.
• Assemble briefs, motion papers, and exhibits and coordinate e-filing and service.
• Perform complex cite-checking, verify authorities and quotations, and proofread legal documents.
• Provide extensive trial support, including trial notebooks, exhibits, witness coordination, subpoenas, trial calendars, and courtroom logistics.
• Support attorneys in the courtroom and assist with off-site trial and war room operations.
• Assist with post-trial motions, briefing, costs, sanctions, and appellate preparation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, litigation support teams, paralegals, and outside vendors on complex matters.

Requirements

• 10 years of complex litigation paralegal experience within a multi-attorney law firm.
• Significant hands-on trial experience, including witness and exhibit preparation and courtroom support.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures, e-filing requirements, and litigation practices.
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or Everlaw.
• Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certification preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• NALA certification preferred.
• Strong legal research, drafting, proofreading, cite-checking, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems, and electronic file-sharing platforms.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple complex matters and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate attorney needs, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends during trials or other critical deadlines.
• Ability to travel occasionally for trials, court proceedings, or off-site war rooms.
