Artificial Intelligence Analyst

Talent Acquisition LLC
Washington, DC Contractor
POSTED ON 9/25/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/24/2025

Overview

The AI Analyst will play a key role in supporting AI initiatives, particularly within the context of a law firm. This role bridges technical concepts with practical legal applications, helping design, deploy, and optimize AI-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, innovation, and client service.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • The firm has deployed Microsoft Copilot in a secured, closed environment.
  • This is a hands-on technical “doer” role — someone who can code and build solutions, not just advise or strategize.
  • Projected as a contract-to-hire role with 3 days per week in-office required.
  • No sponsorship available now or in the future (no OPT candidates).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the firm’s AI strategy and roadmap, aligning initiatives with business objectives and client service goals
  • Support AI adoption across practice areas, driving innovation and competitive advantage
  • Evaluate and apply emerging AI/ML technologies (LLMs, generative AI, NLP) to use cases such as patent analysis, prior art searches, contract review, and e-discovery
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot projects to assess feasibility and impact of new tools
  • Collaborate with attorneys, IT, knowledge management, and operations teams to design and implement AI solutions
  • Translate business and legal needs into technical requirements for AI development and deployment
  • Oversee the AI solution lifecycle — from ideation and prototyping to deployment and monitoring
  • Apply best practices using tools such as MS Copilot, Agents, and Ollama to ensure scalable and secure solutions
  • Develop and deliver training to promote AI literacy and adoption across the firm
  • Support ethical AI frameworks and governance policies to ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, ABA guidelines)
  • Monitor risks and contribute to discussions on AI ethics, accountability, and governance
  • Define and track KPIs to evaluate AI initiative success and refine solutions using data-driven insights
  • Stay current with developments in AI/ML, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and legal technology
  • Manage vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or legal technology, with demonstrated success in implementing AI projects
  • Experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred, particularly in knowledge management or practice support
  • Direct experience with AI solutions for legal applications (e.g., patent research automation, document analysis, knowledge management tools) highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and applications (LLMs, generative AI, NLP, predictive analytics)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering practices
  • Familiarity with legal tech tools (USPTO systems, PatBase, Harvey) a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
