What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager - HVAC position at Talent ACQ?
We're recruiting for an HVAC Service Manager on behalf of a well-established residential and commercial HVAC contractor in West Warwick, RI. This is a leadership role — not just a senior tech title.
What the role actually is: You're running the service department. Scheduling, technician development, quality control, escalated support, metrics. The technical depth matters, but so does the ability to build a team and hold a standard.
What they're looking for:
- 10 years of HVAC experience across residential and commercial — you've seen the full range
- Real supervisory experience (not just "led by example")
- EPA Universal required; NATE or manufacturer certs are a plus
- Comfortable with service management software and reporting — this isn't a clipboard operation
Technical scope includes: RTUs, heat pumps, gas/oil/electric systems, boilers, hydronic, building controls. Complex troubleshooting and field support when your team needs it.
The comp package is competitive — base incentives, company vehicle, benefits, PTO, and room to grow with a company that's investing in the department.
Salary : $130,000 - $175,000
