They are seeking a VP Software Engineer software engineer to join their front-office Quant Research Development team, where you will build mission-systems that support researchers and portfolio managers.

Location: Office in Greenwich, CT (50min commute from Grand Central). This is a hybrid role, with an onsite requirement 3x per week.

Required Technology And Skills
- 7 years of professional experience in software engineering, with expertise in complex backend-development in Java and Python
- Experience working as a Senior SWE or Quant Developer within financial services - ideally in front-office / trading environment - and working close with researchers and portfolio managers
- Expertise in building distributed systems, microservice architecture, and cloud-based applications
- Experience working within AWS environment
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
- Experience contributing to design, architecture, leading projects, and mentoring junior engineers, while remaining hands-on
- Great work ethic and ability to be a team player
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with AI technologies and using AI to accelerate engineering workflows
- Advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or STEM related field
