The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing enterprise technology transformation initiatives within the insurance industry or related financial services environments, or can bring proficient experience managing Digital SaaS Modernization projects in the IT Project Management function.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale enterprise technology initiatives, including core insurance platform transformations, legacy modernization, process re-engineering, and integrated technology implementations
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, and resource requirements across multiple workstreams
- Serve as a strategic partner to business and IT leadership, providing clear visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and delivery considerations
- Lead cross-functional project teams including business stakeholders, subject matter experts, architects, developers, QA teams, vendors, and other delivery partners
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and executive-level status reviews to maintain alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes
- Manage project scope and requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, identifying risks, resolving issues, and proactively addressing dependencies and change impacts
- Partner with Business Analysts, architecture, development, and QA teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives and delivered according to project expectations
- Manage projects within both Waterfall and Agile environments, adapting delivery practices based on project requirements and organizational needs
- Communicate project progress, risks, recommendations, and strategic considerations to senior and executive-level stakeholders
- 6 years of progressive IT Project Management experience, with strong experience managing enterprise technology initiatives in Property & Casualty, specialty insurance, financial services, or related environments
- Proven experience managing enterprise modernization initiatives, including core policy or claims platform transformations, legacy system migration, SaaS implementations, and business process reengineering
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology projects involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, dependencies, and delivery teams
- Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile project environments, with the ability to adapt project management methodologies to the needs of the organization and initiative
- Strong understanding of project planning, scope management, risk management, dependency tracking, change management, and stakeholder communication
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically, challenge current-state processes, and influence business and technology leaders throughout transformation initiatives
- Experience working with enterprise insurance platforms, CRM systems, service management platforms, integrations, or related enterprise technology environments is preferred
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills across executive, business, and technical audiences
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or comparable project management certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Project Management, or equivalent experience
- Base Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 Benefits (Full Benefits)
- Hybrid position with a U.S.-based insurance organization located in the Des Moines, Iowa greater area
