The Role
Our client is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their Developer Experience team - the platform that powers every product engineer in the organization. This is a high-leverage, senior individual contributor role focused on building the core application frameworks, developer tooling, and foundational reliability infrastructure that enables product teams to ship faster and with greater confidence.
You'll be a technical force multiplier - the engineer other engineers build on top of. If you're energized by platform-level problems, developer velocity, and systems that touch the entire engineering org, this is the role.

Our client is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their Developer Experience team - the platform that powers every product engineer in the organization. This is a high-leverage, senior individual contributor role focused on building the core application frameworks, developer tooling, and foundational reliability infrastructure that enables product teams to ship faster and with greater confidence.
You'll be a technical force multiplier - the engineer other engineers build on top of. If you're energized by platform-level problems, developer velocity, and systems that touch the entire engineering org, this is the role.
What You'll Do
- Design and build core application frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling that reduce cognitive load and cycle time across product engineering teams
- Define and evolve an AI-native developer experience stack - driving measurable improvements in deployment frequency, cycle time, and platform reliability
- Establish and champion reliability practices - including SLOs, observability standards, and incident readiness - across the engineering organization
- Partner with product engineers, Cloud Platform, Security, and Data Engineering to align on scalable, secure platform standards
- Identify and eliminate systemic friction points in the developer workflow - from local development through production deployment
- Contribute to architectural decisions that improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer confidence at scale
- 8 years of software engineering experience with a strong backend, platform, or infrastructure-adjacent background
- Proven track record building and improving developer tooling, frameworks, or CI/CD infrastructure at scale
- Deep experience measuring and improving developer velocity - and making the case for platform investment cross-functionally
- Comfort owning reliability standards - SLOs, observability, incident management - in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communicator who can align engineers and non-technical stakeholders on platform priorities and tradeoffs
- Experience in high-growth product organizations where speed and quality both matter
- Bonus: familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling or reliability engineering practices
- Base salary: $225,000 - $300,000 USD annually
