Senior AI Engineer (Hybrid - Des Moines, IA)

In this hybrid role based in Des Moines, Iowa, you’ll design and deploy cutting-edge AI applications using LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, and multimodal data processing. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team that values curiosity, innovation, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Build intelligent automation and AI-powered services using LangChain, Hugging Face, and AWS Bedrock.
• Develop multimodal pipelines to process PDFs, images, audio, video, and structured/unstructured data.
• Deploy models in AWS SageMaker and orchestrate workflows with Step Functions and Lambda.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and integrate LLMs for summarization and anomaly detection.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and Responsible AI standards.
• Stay ahead of AI trends by experimenting with new tools like Amazon Q and Titan models.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8 years in software/data/AI engineering, with 3 years focused on AI/ML.
• Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and GenAI platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP AI services.
• Experience with data engineering tools like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and modern data stacks.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for solving real-world problems.
• Insurance or regulated industry experience is a plus.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 bonus eligibility(up to 15%)
