We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Brake Press Operator with over three years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines to fabricate precision sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow. Duties
- Operate, set up, and monitor press brake machines for forming sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure precise fabrication
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments to verify quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering strictly to safety protocols in all operations
- Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, machine adjustments, and troubleshooting to optimize production efficiency
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to identify defects or deviations from specifications
- Support other fabrication processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding, and forming machines as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for quality control
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining is a plus
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to operate hand tools and shop math skills necessary for machining and fabrication tasks
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes such as forming, tooling setup, and assembly
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
