Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quality Document Specialist to join our automotive manufacturing team. This role is essential in maintaining and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and GMP guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, quality assurance, and quality control processes, with proficiency in various measurement and inspection tools. Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and inspection reports aligned with ISO standards and FDA regulations
- Conduct quality audits to verify compliance with internal policies and external standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, HACCP, CGMP, and other regulatory requirements
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools
- Collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes, product quality metrics, and inspection results to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems (QMS) by supporting calibration of measurement devices like calipers and micrometers
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) processes
- Participate in manufacturing process reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Support the implementation of QA/QC procedures across production lines to uphold product integrity
- Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and audits related to automotive manufacturing standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP principles
- Experience with calibration and use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and CMMs
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills, and statistical process control (SPC) techniques
- Familiarity with quality management software systems and document control procedures
- Ability to perform quality audits effectively within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes specific to the automotive industry is preferred
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting purposes
