Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Counselor to provide therapeutic support within our OTP Program. This role is vital to ensuring clients receive trauma-informed, evidence-based care in a supportive environment. The Counselor will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to help guide individuals toward sustained recovery.

Key Responsibilities

As a Counselor in our OTP Program, you will:

  • Provide Counseling Services: Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions to clients in recovery.

  • Conduct Assessments: Complete intake assessments, diagnostic summaries, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical reviews.

  • Document with Accuracy: Maintain timely, complete, and compliant records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.

  • Coordinate Care: Collaborate with treatment team members, physicians, and external providers to ensure continuity of care.

  • Support Client Success: Offer crisis intervention, case management, client education, and referral services as needed.

  • Promote Trauma-Informed Care: Consistently integrate trauma-informed principles into client interactions.

  • Maintain Professional Growth: Stay current with best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ohio LCDC II or LCDC III license (required).

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of substance use treatment practices and community resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

  • Crisis Prevention/De-escalation training.

  • Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.
