Senior Airfield Electrical Engineer

Description

Senior technical position requiring education in electrical engineering, or closely related field and proficiency in planning, design and construction of airfield lighting systems and non-visual navigational aids,and related facilities at commercial service and general aviation airports. Duties of the position include evaluation and technical oversight of: design and construction projects involving airfield lighting systems, non-visual Navigation Aids, and related facilities. Preparation of plans and specifications for airfield lighting systems, and non-visual NAVAIDs including: Localizer and Glideslope Antennae, Distance Measuring Equipment, Primary Survellience Radar, Secondary Survellience Radar, Voice Communications and Control Systems, and other related facilities.


Key Responsibilities

• Direct Technical Staff Working on Design of Airfield Lighting and NAVAIDs design.
• Review and/or Prepare Airfield Lighting and/or NAVAIDs Related Studies
• Review/Develop Design, Construction Packaging and Phasing Alternatives for Airfield Lighting and NAVAIDs Components of Aviation Development Projects
• Review/Develop Technical and/or Performance Specifications
• Interface with Clients regarding Airfield Lighting systems and NAVAIDs for Aviation Projects
• Periodic DomesticTravel Required
  
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Closely Related Field
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain required
• Minimum of 15 years of design and construction experience for airfield lighting and non-visual NAVAIDs
