Responsibilities
- Stay informed on legislative updates affecting payroll/tax compliance.
- Review federal, state, and local payroll tax returns, estimates, and reconciliations.
- Research and resolve notices from IRS and other tax authorities.
- Manage tax ID registrations, amendments, and filings related to payroll taxes.
- Collaborate with tax service providers and treasury to ensure accurate tax payments.
- Support all aspects of W-2 and 1042 year-end processing.
- Assist with tax-related tasks for foreign national employees.
- Participate in internal and external tax audits.
- Respond to employee tax inquiries via Salesforce cases and team inboxes.
- Continuously audit employee tax records to correct errors.
- Maintain relationships with tax vendors.
- Assist with system testing for payroll tax updates.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3-5 years of relevant payroll tax experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent research capabilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as PeopleSoft.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify key trends, and produce clear reports.
