What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at TAL Healthcare?
Our client, a mid-sized litigation firm is seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join their growing firm. The position is in our New Providence, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of litigation experience and the ability to manage a high volume of cases in a fast-paced legal environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on litigation matters from inception through trial.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, case management and trial preparation.
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents in state courts.
- Manage the discovery process including written discovery, document production, and subpoenas.
- Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and litigation databases
- Coordinate/schedule depositions, hearings, and arbitrations.
- Review and summarize case-related records.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, experts, and opposing counsel
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience required.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state court filing procedures, including NJ e-filing system. (knowledge of NY and PA e-filing systems also helpful).
- Experience managing litigation matters and document productions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management/document review software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
