Our client, a hospital dedicated to rehabilitation medicine, seeks a Director of the Nursing Magnet Program to lead its journey to maintain Magnet® designation. This leader will oversee strategic planning, staff engagement, and compliance with the ANCC Magnet standards to promote nursing excellence, professional development, and patient-centered care.

Our client, a hospital dedicated to rehabilitation medicine, seeks a Director of the Nursing Magnet Program to lead its journey to maintain Magnet® designation. This leader will oversee strategic planning, staff engagement, and compliance with the ANCC Magnet standards to promote nursing excellence, professional development, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of Magnet® designation and recertification efforts.
- Serve as liaison to ANCC; manage documentation, timelines, and site visits.
- Ensure compliance with Magnet Model components (e.g., leadership, outcomes, innovation).
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to align Magnet goals with hospital strategy.
- Conduct gap analyses, develop action plans, and track progress.
- Educate and mentor staff on Magnet standards and evidence-based practice.
- Support shared governance and nursing research initiatives.
- Analyze and report on quality indicators and outcomes.
- Communicate program milestones to stakeholders and represent the hospital externally.
- Provide backup leadership support to the CNO and AVP of Nursing as needed.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Active NY RN license.
- 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership.
- Experience with Magnet programs or accreditation strongly preferred.
- CRRN certification (or obtained upon eligibility).
- Strong skills in project management, communication, data analysis, and change leadership.
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
