Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waiting lists using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Seat guests promptly and accurately, ensuring smooth flow during busy hours
- Take customer orders with attention to detail, using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Assist servers with food running, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or server in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required; hospitality or food service experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and reservations efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and basic math for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively nightclub or fine dining environment
- Basic kitchen experience or food industry knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
