We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Information Technology (IT) Specialist to provide technical support and maintain the integrity of our IT systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, and ensuring that the technology environment runs efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and a service-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols using tools such as Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, business applications, and connectivity.
- Maintain and update IT documentation, asset inventory, and technical procedures.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees from a technical standpoint.
- Support remote work environments, VPNs, and cloud-based applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom).
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams or vendors and follow up until resolution.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data protection regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in an IT support or technical role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and common business applications.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
