Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to work 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) as an addition to our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and be proficient in operating various machinery and tools. This role involves fabricating and assembling components, ensuring precision and quality in every project. The Machinist will work closely with engineers and other team members to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Operate metal working lathes and vertical style milling machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy.
- Fabricate components as necessary and directed.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to develop tooling solutions for various projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of tooling, fabrication techniques, brazing, and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
