Job Overview
Take It Further Technologies (TIFT) is seeking a reliable and experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our expanding team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of telecommunications and security systems including VoIP, fiber optics, Ethernet cabling, access control, CCTV, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair data/voice cabling and telecom/security equipment
  • Configure and relocate VoIP systems and work with platforms such as LENEL, Honeywell, BOSCH, and AXIS
  • Maintain and document telecom closets and equipment rooms
  • Dispatch and assist other technicians; resolve trouble tickets efficiently
  • Conduct site inspections and support the Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Order parts, track inventory, and coordinate with vendors
  • Respond to help desk and IT support requests on- and off-site
  • Follow and promote strict safety protocols

Requirements

  • U.S Citizenship
  • 1–2 years of technical school or field experience in telecommunications or network cabling
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, reaching)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Proficient in cable splicing, troubleshooting, and installation methods
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of standard office software and desktop/network support tools

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
