Position Purpose
As a Water Spider Process Lead, you serve as an advanced material‑flow specialist responsible for ensuring optimized, continuous production support across multiple work areas. You will independently coordinate material movement, oversee workflow readiness, anticipate production needs, and support improvement initiatives across the department.
Responsibilities
- Full mastery of all Water Spider I and II duties.
- Serve as the primary material‑flow specialist for multiple production zones.
- Anticipate material and component needs and take proactive action to prevent downtime.
- Coordinate material staging for upcoming jobs using advanced planning and scheduling tools
- Identify, communicate, and correct issues affecting material availability or line readiness.
- Partner with production leads to align material movement with takt time and build schedules
- Execute process improvements and assist with root‑cause analysis related to material flow
- Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and lead by example in safe material handling
- Attend meetings, training, and improvement events as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental and business needs
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience (2–4 ) years in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 1–2 years in a leadership, lead, or process ownership capacity preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, project-based or custom manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
- ERP system experience required (preferably Epicor or similar systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Experience using communication and workflow tools (e.g., Slack, Asana, Microsoft Teams)
