Position Summary

Carpenter supports the fabrication and assembly of wood-based components and structures for staging and production projects, ensuring builds are completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling wood components
• Cut, trim, and shape plastic and non‑ferrous materials using appropriate tools and equipment in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and shop drawings
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with preparation and organization of materials including lumber, hardware, and custom pieces
• Support fabrication and build processes to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations
• Inspect materials and components for accuracy and quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform general shop duties including material handling and equipment upkeep
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 2 years of carpentry experience required
• Working knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurements)
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Positive work attitude and strong work ethic
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Strong time management skills
  
  

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position
• 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday, with additional hours as needed)
• On-site role in Nashville, TN
