About the Role
We’re hiring a Fuel Construction Foreman to lead field operations and oversee job site activities from start to finish. This role is responsible for supervising crews and subcontractors, coordinating daily construction activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll play a key role in delivering successful projects—balancing safety, schedule, and productivity while representing TAIT professionally on every job site.
Travel Requirements – all company travel expenses covered
- Drive a company vehicle to job sites and drive extensive distances, occasionally up to 1000 miles per week (and conduct daily DVIR inspections).
- Occasional out-of-town work, with notice.
- Oversee and actively participate in daily field operations
- Supervise job site personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and correctly
- Coordinate materials, equipment rentals, and deliveries
- Inspect materials and equipment for quality and accuracy upon arrival
- Schedule and meet with inspectors; manage inspection process
- Conduct and document daily safety meetings and enforce safety compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site
- Monitor project schedules, labor hours, and productivity
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers and Construction Managers
- Document job progress, including daily photo reporting
- Report incidents, delays, or field changes promptly
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial petroleum construction or related field supervision
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors
- Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and technical documents
- Ability to adapt to changing field conditions and project needs
- Clear and professional communication with clients and team members
- Organized, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
- ICC UST Install/Retrofit, Decommissioning, or Service Technician certifications
- Veeder Root certifications
- 24- or 40-hour HAZWOPER (or current refresher)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Complete background check, MVR, drug test, and physical
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
- Able to climb ladders, kneel, lift heavy lids (with assistance), and work on uneven ground
- Ability to travel to job sites and drive long distances as needed
- Physically fit to travel and work in field conditions
Salary and Benefits
Salary range for position: $36/hr - $44/hr
