What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Taino Smokehouse?
Server\Bartender
Server knowledge is required, bartender knowledge is NOT required.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Mix ingredients to create cocktails and other specialty drinks
- Check identification of customers to verify legal drinking age
- Collect payment from customers and process transactions accurately using a cash register
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction with each interaction
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the bar
Experience:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably as a bartender or in a similar role
- Strong math skills, including the ability to handle cash transactions and calculate tips
- Knowledge of retail math principles for inventory management and pricing
- Familiarity with food handling and service procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink recipes
- Understanding of the food industry, including knowledge of different types of beverages and their preparation methods
- Experience working in banquet settings is a plus
