Apprentice Electrician – Data Center
Position Summary
The Apprentice Electrician assists licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within a mission-critical data center environment. This position provides hands-on training while supporting high-availability power infrastructure, including distribution systems, backup generation, and critical cooling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman with installation of electrical systems
- Install and secure conduit (EMT, PVC, RMC) and cable tray systems
- Pull wire and assist with terminations under supervision
- Support installation of switchgear, transformers, PDUs, UPS systems, and generators
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures at all times
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical drawings
- Perform material handling and inventory tasks
- Assist with testing and troubleshooting of electrical components
- Document work performed as directed
- Prioritize facility security
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial or industrial construction
