Dog Daycare Handler & Playgroup Coordinator

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (Must Meet ALL To Be Considered)

• Supervised a loose, off-leash group of 10–15 unrelated dogs for 3 continuous hours
• Handled the entire group independently (no second staff in the room)
• At least 2 years of professional dog daycare experience within the past 3 years (2022–2025)
• 12 consecutive months in one paid and current animal-care role (2022–present)
• Recognized early signs of overstimulation and redirected dogs before issues developed
• Live within 30 minutes and consistently arrive on time
• Able to stand/walk the entire shift and confidently manage dogs up to 150 lbs

⭐ What You’ll Do ⭐

Dog Management

• Run small off-leash playgroups (10–15 dogs)
• Redirect dogs quickly to maintain safe, appropriate play
• Introduce new dogs and monitor adjustment
• Watch for early signs of overstimulation and intervene early
• Move dogs safely between playrooms and nap areas
• Ensure access to fresh water and monitor individual needs
  
  

Cleaning Responsibilities

• Clean continuously: mop accidents, pick up waste, disinfect surfaces
• Follow cleaning checklists for playrooms and common areas
• Manage laundry (blankets, bedding, towels)
• Wash and sanitize bowls, Kongs, and enrichment items
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the shift
  
  

Client & Office Support

• Take clear photos and short videos during the day
• Create brief, personalized report cards for clients
• Assist with check-in/check-out and process payments
• Answer phones and help with scheduling
• Update dog records, behavior notes, and incident logs
  
  

⭐ Schedule & Pay ⭐

• Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3:30 PM
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• $20–$24/hr DOE group-size bonuses
