Wireless Technical Program Manager
Location: Fully Onsite at Redmond, WA or Sunnyvale, CA
Competitive Pay: $80-$83/hr (W2)
Duration: 12-month contract (possible extension/conversion)
Schedule: 40hrs/week (Mon–Fri)

Our client is seeking an experienced Wireless Technical Program Manager to join the Augmented Reality Hardware team supporting the development of next-generation consumer technology products. In this role, you will drive complex wireless hardware and firmware programs through the full New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to bring innovative AR products from concept to mass production. This is a highly collaborative role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at cross-functional coordination, and has a strong technical foundation in wireless systems, hardware development, and firmware integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the AR wireless engineering team to define, design, and execute hardware projects
- Develop and manage wireless development schedules, keeping stakeholders informed and proactively identifying/addressing potential setbacks
- Work cross-functionally to establish and drive best practices and technology development processes in a dynamic environment, ensuring on-time delivery
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables such as architecture definitions, build goals, and wireless requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of firmware releases for factory use during builds
- Track and report engineering issues encountered during the build process, providing regular status updates to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with component and module qualification, validation, and characterization processes
- 3 years of experience as an engineering manager or Technical Program Manager, managing hardware or firmware projects from concept to mass production
- 3 years of experience working with wireless hardware module projects
- 3 years of wireless design and/or implementation experience, in hardware and/or firmware
- In-depth knowledge of the product development process for consumer wireless hardware, including firmware integration to meet hardware delivery goals
- Experience in communicating and operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
Must-Have Skills:
- Technical background in wireless tech (elements of RF, antenna, Bluetooth, 5G)
- Previous work of TPM
- Worked in consumer electronics
Nice to Have Skills:
- Background in fitbit, apple
- Understanding of wireless security protocols and best practices
- Deep familiarity with emerging wireless standards
