About The Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for Sr. Director, Brand Strategy, to join our Brand Strategy Marketing organization. This individual will be highly attuned to consumer behavior, has experience creating and managing strategy for well-known brands, and who is a proactive self-starter able to identify opportunities and marshal change.
In this position, you will be reporting to the SVP/Chief Brands Officer and be responsible for creating and implementing long-range brand strategies for our portfolio. You will craft annual narratives, define and advocate for the distinct role each brand holds and how they show up for the consumer, oversee brand insights and their use to create action within all aspects of the brands, and bring to bear breakthrough partnerships that allow us to build brand equity and show up to the consumer in new and exciting ways.
You will also work closely with our Marketing Planning team, ensuring consistent integration of brand strategies into retail calendars, promotional planning, and more. In our matrixed environment, you’ll need to build strong cross-functional partnerships, have your finger on the pulse of where our brands should look to next to engage with consumers, and be able to credibly present your ideas to executive leadership.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Creates multi-year Brand Strategy across the portfolio that reflects brand health goals, consumer sentiment, and forward looking market trends with application to all functions (Marketing, Design, Merchandising, Stores).
- Works hand in hand with Marketing Planning to ensure consistent application of brand strategies into marketing plans, calendars, and channel execution.
- Develops annual and seasonal brand narratives informed by merchandising strategies, customer behavior insights, and consumer trend.
- Responsible for overall brand health, maintenance of brand equity with customers, and the creation of initiatives to ensure long-term sustainability of the Tailored Brands portfolio.
- Manages customer insights and analysis, including liaising with external research partners to conduct regular fielding of brand perception, consumer behavior, and response to advertising.
- Leads the evolution of brand strategy, core audiences, and positioning, supporting what each brand represents, customer segmentation, and guidelines.
- Partners with merchandising and product design to connect product strategies to brand strategies and marketing messaging priorities.
- Leads development of PR strategy and brand partnerships that provide increased consumer relevancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 14 years of marketing experience, strong preference for retail.
- Background in working across a portfolio of brands.
- Demonstrated ability to lead brand strategy and brand positioning.
- Prior experience understanding of synthesizing consumer insights into a multi-year strategy for brand growth.
- Developed and implemented key partnerships.

- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates in a hybrid work environment from our Dublin, California office; New York, New York office or a remote location.

Salary : $186,600 - $248,000
