We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Tailor / Men’s Alterations Specialist to join a growing men’s clothing and alterations business in Columbus, Ohio.
Our business serves an established clientele with ongoing tailoring, alterations, and fitting needs. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, understands proper garment construction, and consistently delivers high-quality work.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with men’s suits, tuxedos, jackets, trousers, and formalwear, along with the ability to perform precise alterations in a professional, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Perform alterations on men’s suits, trousers, jackets, tuxedos, and formalwear.
Complete hemming, waist adjustments, sleeve alterations, tapering, and other fitting corrections.
Assist with garment fittings and identify necessary adjustments.
Ensure all garments meet quality standards and client expectations.
Manage alteration assignments efficiently while maintaining excellent workmanship.
Communicate clearly regarding turnaround times and any garment-related concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
Qualifications
Previous professional tailoring or men’s clothing alterations experience.
Strong knowledge of men’s suit construction, fit, and garment adjustments.
Experience with formalwear and structured garments preferred.
Ability to work independently and produce consistent, high-quality results.
Excellent attention to detail and dependable turnaround times.
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
Comfortable working in an upscale, client-focused environment.
