Duties
- Supervise and coordinate evening kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal behavior
- Manage pet boarding and ensuring all animals are comfortable and safe during their stay
- Oversee animal handling and restraint procedures to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Lead team lifting efforts for heavy items such as bedding, supplies, or equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of kennels, common areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ needs and status
Skills
- Pet sitting, pet boarding, or animal care experience demonstrating responsibility and compassion
- Dog training or animal behavior knowledge to assess and manage various pet temperaments
- Kennel experience with proficiency in animal handling, restraint techniques, and cleanliness standards
- Strong team lifting skills combined with outdoor work experience for managing physical tasks safely
