Position Overview
TAI USA, Inc. is seeking experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to support supplier management, purchasing operations, and cross-functional coordination in its U.S. offices.
The selected candidates will play a key role in developing and managing suppliers, executing procurement processes, and supporting commercial activities in compliance with aerospace and defense industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Procurement Management
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier ecosystem meeting aerospace/defense quality, traceability, and certification requirements.
- Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for subsystems and raw materials and external processing services (e.g., heat treatment, plating, NDT, grinding).
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure all purchased materials and services meet required certification and documentation standards.
- Track and manage purchase orders from quotation to contract execution.
Commercial & Contract Management
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, commercial terms, conditions and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate contract finalization and approval processes.
· Evaluate RFQs/RFIs for manufacturing, MRO, and R&D activities in coordination with engineering and program teams.
- Conduct preliminary commercial and technical evaluations in coordination with engineering, pricing, and planning teams.
- Assess commercial and operational risks and identify improvement opportunities.
· Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export compliance preferred.
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Serve as a focal point for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, quality, production, planning, finance).
- Maintain effective communication with international customers and suppliers.
- Monitor service performance and support resolution of operational issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles within manufacturing or industrial sectors (aerospace/defense preferred).
- U.S. Citizenship required (in compliance with U.S. international trade regulations).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Turkish is a plus).
- Experience in contract management, pricing negotiations, and commercial terms.
· Experience working with U.S. aerospace suppliers or defense programs.
- Strong financial acumen (cost analysis, profitability, project evaluation).
· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP procurement systems.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
- Currently residing in the company locations or willing to relocate (no relocation assistance provided).
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the United States (approximately 30% of the time).
