The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, and services required for equipment production. This role ensures uninterrupted manufacturing operations by building reliable supplier relationships, optimizing inventory, controlling costs, maintaining quality, compliance, and on-time delivery across the supply chain.The position plays a critical role in supporting production schedules, scaling manufacturing, and driving continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes.Essential Responsibilities:Procurement & SourcingDevelop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, components, subassemblies, and production servicesIdentify, qualify, and manage domestic and international suppliersLead RFQs, contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and long-term supply agreementsEnsure best value sourcing while balancing cost, quality, lead time, and riskMaintain approved vendor lists and supplier performance metricsSupply Chain & Production Support:Plan and manage material availability to meet production schedules and demand forecastsCoordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support equipment buildsManage lead times, capacity constraints, and supply risksSupport new product introductions (NPI) and production ramp-upsImplement mitigation strategies for supply disruptions and shortagesInventory & Logistics:Oversee inventory planning, safety stock levels, and material flowOptimize inventory turns while avoiding production downtimeCoordinate inbound and outbound logistics, freight, and warehousing activitiesEnsure accurate material tracking, documentation, and ERP system integrityQuality, Compliance & Risk:Ensure suppliers meet technical, quality, and regulatory requirementsSupport supplier audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standardsManage supply chain risk assessments and contingency planningCost Control & Continuous Improvement:Track and report procurement KPIs (cost savings, OTIF delivery, inventory turns, supplier performance)Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunitiesImprove procurement and supply chain workflows, tools, and systemsSupport make/buy decisions and total cost of ownership analysis Qualifications & Experience:Required:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain within a manufacturing or equipment production environmentStrong experience sourcing mechanical, electrical, or fabricated componentsProven negotiation and supplier management skillsExperience working with ERP/MRP systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred:Experience in aerospace, robotics, defense, automotive, or complex equipment manufacturingKnowledge of contract manufacturing and build-to-print suppliersFamiliarity with quality systems and supplier auditsAPICS / CSCP / CPM or similar certificationExperience supporting rapid production scaling or startup environments Physical Requirements:Combination of office and manufacturing floor environmentOccasional travel to supplier facilitiesFast-paced production setting with evolving prioritiesCompany DescriptionHeven AeroTech (Heven), Headquartered in Northern Virginia with offices in Washington, Florida and Israel, our team thrives on collaboration, diversity, and innovation.
