Summary

Assists the Director of Urgent Care Clinics in building and optimizing the service line by developing and improving processes that drive consistent clinical and financial performance. Leads the Urgent Care team through growth and change, while recruiting and onboarding clinicians and support staff to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides operational leadership for the Urgent Care service line, partnering with the Director of Urgent Care and Medical Director to build, optimize, and scale clinic operations across multiple sites.
  • Leads the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of workflows, policies, and procedures to drive consistent clinical quality, patient experience, and financial performance.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations across Urgent Care clinics, ensuring efficient patient flow, appropriate staffing models, and alignment with volume and seasonal demand.
  • Leads recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of clinic staff and Practice
  • Leads, fostering a high-performing, accountable team culture.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators, identify opportunities, and implement process improvements to enhance throughput, access, and overall operational performance.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards; conducts routine audits and maintains ongoing survey readiness.
  • Partners with clinical leadership to support evidence-based care delivery, provider engagement, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Supports financial and administrative operations, including payroll, invoice review/approval, and coordination with billing and registration teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Leads and supports service line initiatives such as clinic expansion, relocations, workflow redesign, and operational integration of new sites.
  • Collaborates across departments to promote standardization, alignment, and efficient operations throughout the multispecialty clinic network.
  • Serves as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, problem solving, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with staff, providers, and organizational leadership, modeling system values and professional standards.
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; administering scheduling systems; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.

Minimum Education/Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or vocational school required. Commitment to continued professional growth and ongoing education is strongly valued.

2-3 years relevant experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Valid Driver's License in good standing

  • Upon hire

Other Experience/Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience leading operations in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care, emergency, or ambulatory setting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site operations and adapt to seasonal volume variability
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, with focus on patient throughput, access, and service excellence
  • Experience using data to drive decision-making, including KPI management and performance improvement initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead teams through growth, change, and process standardization
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and retaining highperforming teams
  • Ability to effectively partner with clinical leadership to align operational and clinical priorities
  • Working knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance standards in ambulatory care
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
