Do you want to work in one of the coolest venues in the Twin Cities? Forepaughs is a historic, possibly haunted, restaurant located on the quiet streets outside of downtown St. Paul. As a busser, you are a vital member of the front-of-house team, responsible for creating and maintaining a flawless dining environment that reflects our restaurant's commitment to excellence.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can anticipate guest needs, ensure the prompt and efficient clearing and setting of tables, and maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room and public spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, grace, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to support servers and contribute to an unforgettable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Maintenance: Swiftly and silently clear tables after guests depart, meticulously cleaning and sanitizing surfaces with proper cloths and sanitizing agents.
- Table Setting: Set tables to exacting standards with clean, polished silverware, glassware, and tableware, ensuring precise and aesthetically pleasing arrangements for each guest.
- Guest Assistance: Proactively monitor tables for any guest needs, such as refilling water glasses, providing additional napkins or utensils, and responding to requests with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Support for Servers: Assist servers by delivering food and drinks to tables, as well as supporting other front-of-house needs to ensure efficient service.
- Dining Room Presentation: Regularly inspect and maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including floors, chairs, and decor, ensuring the space is always presentable and inviting.
- Restocking: Maintain the service stations, ensuring an ample supply of essential items such as napkins, condiments, silverware, and glassware are readily available.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth transitions between courses and efficient service flow.
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere strictly to all sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Menu Presentation: Assist in maintaining menu presentation, replacing soiled or damaged menus to ensure they are always clean and professional.
