What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior EUC/Desktop Support position at Tag?
We’re looking for a Junior End User Computing (EUC) / Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team and provide first-line technical support to our users. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone starting their IT career who has a solid foundation in IT, a strong willingness to learn, and great customer service skills.
You’ll be supporting laptops, desktops, peripherals, and users day-to-day, while gaining exposure to modern endpoint management tools and enterprise IT environments. Training will be provided, and enthusiasm, curiosity, and a proactive attitude are far more important to us than deep prior experience.
*This will be a 6 month contract with the possibility for extension*
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support via helpdesk tickets, email, chat, or in person
- Troubleshoot laptop and desktop issues (hardware, software, and peripherals)
- Assist users with Windows and/or macOS related issues
- Support and troubleshoot printers and other office hardware
- Patch and manage network cables and basic desk-side connectivity issues
- Assist with device setup, imaging, and onboarding/offboarding of users
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required
- Maintain clear documentation and update tickets with accurate notes
- Follow IT processes and contribute to improving user experience
Exposure & Growth Opportunities
Depending on experience and interest, you may also:
- Assist with or gain exposure to SCCM and/or Microsoft Intune
- Work with endpoint management tools and modern EUC environments
- Learn about device security, patching, and asset management
- Support both Windows and Mac fleets
- Gain exposure to Jamf (experience is a bonus, not required)
Required Skills & Experience
- Basic knowledge of IT concepts (hardware, software, operating systems)
- Some hands-on experience with Windows and/or macOS
- Familiarity with troubleshooting common IT issues
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback
- A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for IT and technology.
