Job Overview
The Maintenance Tech aids the maintenance team in reducing downtime and keeping production flow at its peak. This is skilled labor in the maintenance department to focus on task fulfillment assigned by maintenance team. This position requires someone who works well with a team, follows direction to carry out assigned tasks, and is eager to learn new skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections following maintenance team guidance
- Install, assemble, perform small repairs and tests on products or equipment as shown
- Maintain inventory of parts and tools used for restocking
- Focus on maintenance and plant goals toward continuous improvement
- Complete written record of work performed onsite
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Comply with all TAG Policies, Procedures, and Safety Protocols
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
The requirements listed below are not all inclusive but rather are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in the position.
REQUIRED
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver’s License
PREFERRED
- 1 Year experience in mechanical and manufacturing maintenance role
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals with maintenance guidance
- Familiarity using various power and hand tools such as impacts, drills, torque wrenches, and grinders
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working with welding equipment, forklifts, cranes, and hydraulics
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, sit, crouch, and kneel for moderate to extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 Pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in an environment that is heavily affected by seasonal temperature changes
