All TAG buckets, thumbs, couplers, and other attachments are designed and manufactured at our headquarters in Chattanooga, TN, and are compatible with any brand of excavator or construction equipment.


Job Overview

The Territory Manager will be accountable for overseeing and coordinating all sales functions within a designated geographic area. This role involves nurturing and expanding existing dealer relationships, seeking out new dealer opportunities, and meeting the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the territory. The emphasis will be on enhancing customer support, maximizing sales revenue, and increasing profitability across all company product lines. Additionally, the Territory Manager will focus on fostering dealer development by executing and advocating for effective sales programs, all while striving to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

·       Responsible for maintaining and expanding existing dealer network and business.

·       Encourage the development of better customer relations and respond promptly to meet all customer needs.

·       Dealer Development: Responsible for the identification of high potential markets, locating, recruiting, and developing new dealers in these markets.

·       Rental Support: Responsible for supporting and promoting company products and programs to select National Rental Companies.

·       Report customer complaints to manufacturing and engineering; suggest corrective actions and influence changes that enhance customer satisfaction.

·       Develop and participate in new product introductions, dealer/customer meetings, trade shows and special events.

·       Submit all company expenses in a timely manner, keep expenses within budget, and identify ways to reduce waste and enhance product margins.

·       Prepare, analyze and report weekly on territory results, KPI’s, key activities, and corrective actions for improved performance.

·       Achieve self-sufficiency by learning to read TAG spec sheets and submit quotes through the TAG in-house system.

·       Work in close collaboration with other departments to achieve company objectives, ensure that there is open and effective communication.

·       Assume special projects and other duties as assigned.


Essential Duties Breakdown

·       Meet or exceed territory sales goals (30%)

·       Grow low performing dealers (30%)

·       Sign up and develop new dealers (30%)

·       Look for new products and/or markets (10%)

·       Integrity: Maintain honesty, behave ethically, take responsibility, respect confidentiality, and demonstrate reliability with other team members, other departments, management teams, customers, and business partners.


·       Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability and desire to cooperatively interact with other team members by listening to team ideas, treating others with respect, providing constructive feedback, sharing expertise, and contributing to team initiatives.

 

Qualifications / Requirements

The requirements listed below are not all inclusive but rather are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in the position.

REQUIRED

·       5 years of relative sales experience.

·       Knowledge of products, applications, and distribution channels.

·       Change leader and creative problem solver.

·       Minimum 50% overnight travel required.

·       Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.

·       Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization.

·       Ability to multitask, solve problems, manage time, adapt to changing work conditions, and shift priorities in a fast paced environment.

·       Strong ethical standards, reliability, professionalism, positive attitude, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

 

PREFERRED

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·       OEM to customer sales experience.

·       Knowledge of rental industry.

·       Familiar with dealership (B2B) operations.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

•      Selected candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

•      The work for this position is in both an office and plant environment.
