Taft is seeking a Client & Innovation Intern to support the Taft team.
We are seeking a Client & Innovation Intern to join the Taft team. An ideal candidate will support a wide range of initiatives. All Taft employees operate under a “Client First” philosophy—in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with client facing and internal innovation projects, such as client collaboration tools, dashboards, and pilot programs for new platforms and technologies.
- Supporting generative AI and legal technology initiatives, including research, documentation, training materials, and internal communications related to approved tools and pilots.
- Helping prepare presentations, materials, and communications for firmwide initiatives, practice group meetings, and the Client & Innovation Office's Spark Series programs.
- Assisting with data collection, organization, and analysis in support of pricing, budgeting, Power BI dashboards, and client reporting efforts.
- Supporting vendor research, demos, and pilot programs, including scheduling, note taking, feedback collection, and follow up documentation.
- Maintaining and updating internal collaboration spaces and resources, such as intranet pages and shared documentation used by attorneys and professional staff.
- Providing general project and administrative support to the Client & Innovation Office as needed, including coordinating across IT, Marketing & Business Development, Knowledge & Research Services, and other operations teams.
Requirements:
- Interest in innovation, pricing, technology, data, and/or operations in a professional services or legal environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys and firm leadership.
- Comfort managing multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to document processes and summarize information clearly.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about legal technology, generative AI, pricing, and client facing innovation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:
- Experience with or interest in tools such as Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration and data tools.
- Coursework or background in business, data analytics, information systems, innovation, project management, or legal studies.
- Familiarity with researching new tools or summarizing technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
