We have an outstanding career opportunity for a VP of Program Management to join a leading Company located in the San Antonio, TX surrounding area.
Responsibilities:
- Execute all programs within contractual requirements to ensure that the project cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met or exceeded
- Utilizing Earned Value Management, review and report program financial and schedule status frequently
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive repeat business
- Manage program budget forecasting, resource planning, and financial performance tracking
- Identify opportunities to improve profit margins for individual programs and/or processes throughout the organization
- Lead and mentor a team of program managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence
- Collaborate with sales, finance, engineering, planning, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver programs on schedule and within budget
- Define and execute a long-term strategic vision for program management, including technology roadmaps and market positioning
- Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new market opportunities and crafting competitive proposals
- Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks (AS9100, FAA, DoD)
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) or Business from an accredited university
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry
- Minimum 7–10 years in senior leadership roles managing multi-year aerospace programs exceeding $10M in annual revenue
- Track record of successfully overseeing programs with budgets above $25M
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Cost accounting or financial analysis experience preferred
- Direct experience with military aerospace programs preferred
