This role involves ensuring the prompt assignment of guards to locations, monitoring shifts, handling urgent requests, and maintaining efficient communication with guards and clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch Coordination:
- Coordinate the immediate deployment of security personnel in response to service requests, incidents, call-outs, or emergencies.
- Maintain contact with guards throughout their shifts to verify location and availability.
- Scheduling:
- Manage and adjust shift schedules based on call-outs, absences, or changing client needs.
- Prepare and distribute daily schedules and reports for overnight staff coverage.
- Ensure all posts are staffed according to client requirements and compliance standards.
- Communication & Incident Reporting:
- Serve as the main point of contact for guards, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Must be able to clearly communicate via radio and other communication systems.
- Document incidents, irregularities, or any changes in staffing promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of shift changes, attendance, and other dispatch activities.
- Approve and reject reports.
- Emergency Management:
- Act as the first responder in coordinating additional resources or escalation in emergencies.
- Monitor and report any high-risk situations or incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in dispatch, scheduling, or security-related roles preferred. Must have an active security guard D license. (If you do not have a current D license, one will need to be obtained prior to starting)
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with scheduling software or dispatch management systems is a plus.
- Availability: Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Personal Attributes: Dependable, proactive, calm under pressure, and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring and managing dispatch systems.
- Strong hearing and sight to maintain situational awareness of security communications.
